Cheryl Lantto is in her 18th year teaching in the Warren Consolidated School district. She is currently in her tenth year as the Director of Bands at Carleton Middle School. Since Mrs. Lantto’s tenure at Carleton, both Cadet & Concert bands have received consistent first division ratings at both district and state MSBOA band festivals. Prior to her position at Carleton, Mrs. Lantto taught band at Cousino High School and beginning band and general music at many elementary schools throughout the district. Mrs. Lantto received her Bachelors Degree from Eastern Michigan University. She studied clarinet under Dr. Kimberly Cole and performed in the top ensemble, the EMU Wind Symphony, her entire time at Eastern under the direction of Dr. Max Plank. Mrs. Lantto marched in the Eastern Eagles Marching band and served on staff as their uniform coordinator.
During her time at Carleton, the bands have traveled to Chicago, Mackinac Island (picture below is performance at the Grand Hotel), Washington D.C. and Philadelphia, Louisville, Niagara Falls & Toronto.

Mrs. Lantto is the proud mother of 10 year old twins, Rylee & Tyler and 5 year old Baylee. In her free time Mrs. Lantto enjoys traveling, relaxing at the beach and spending time with her family & friends.
